We are the Virginia Tech Hokies, and we live by our motto: “That I May Serve.” We believe that everyone deserves a home that serves both them and our planet. That’s why we are thrilled to join the Orange County Sustainability Decathlon, a challenge that aligns with our values and passions. To pursue our vision, we are bringing together a diverse and talented team of students and faculty from our School of Architecture, College of Business, School of Construction, and College of Engineering.
Our team consists of accomplished professionals and aspiring experts with diverse backgrounds in architecture, building construction, engineering (civil, electrical, environmental, industrial, and mechanical), finance, interior design, marketing, and project management. Some of them are avid cyclists, hikers, surfers, gardeners, artists, musicians, gamers, travelers, and volunteers. Together, we have the skills (and the zeal) to design and build a house that will dazzle the Orange County community and redefine the California housing market.
